Manufacturer qualifications first
We source from plants that design and test to the named standard. When a project requires a manufacturer already listed by the end user, that constraint is part of the quotation, not an afterthought.
Quality & documentation
Saudi buyers accept valves on certificates, not on promises. Iron Valves works with qualified manufacturers so that the documents named in the RFQ travel with the order, and so that we never present another plant’s listing as our own.
Quality, for a valve supplier that is not itself a foundry, is the discipline of matching a datasheet to a plant that can actually manufacture and document the item. We review size, class, ends, materials, tests and any fire-safe or low-emission options against what a manufacturer can support. If something cannot be documented, we say so before anyone issues a purchase order.
Products are supplied to the stated API, ISO, ASME, AWWA or NFPA standards from qualified manufacturers. Certifications, monograms and listings are those of the manufacturing plant and are provided as specified in the purchase order. Iron Valves does not claim API, ISO, UL, FM or end-user approvals of its own.

A quotation restates the size, class, ends, trim, tests and documents requested. We do not substitute a “similar” figure without saying so.
The inspection dossier follows the RFQ and the purchase order. A typical oil and gas pack includes the items below; nothing is promised that the manufacturing plant cannot issue.
EN 10204 3.1 material certificates issued by the manufacturer, covering pressure-containing parts as specified on the purchase order.
Shell and seat tests performed at the manufacturing plant to API 598 or API 6D — whichever the datasheet names — with recorded pressures, hold times and results.
Face-to-face, end-connection and overall dimensions checked against the applicable ASME, API or AWWA dimensional standard and the approved drawing.
Copies of the manufacturer’s API 607 or API 6FA type-test certificates, provided where the plant holds them and the supplied size and class fall inside the qualified range.
ISO 15848 type-test (and production-test, if the inspection plan requires it) documents issued by the manufacturing plant, not by Iron Valves.
Commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin as specified. SABER / SASO conformity files can be coordinated for a given shipment when required.
Production hydrostatic shell and seat tests are performed at the manufacturing plant to API 598 or API 6D, as specified. Supplementary examinations — visual, dimensional, PMI, hardness, NDE — are added when the inspection and test plan calls for them. Fire-safe API 607 / 6FA and ISO 15848 low-emission packing are offered only where the manufacturer makes those qualifications available for the size and class being purchased.
Typical design standards referenced on projects include ASME B16.34, API 6D, API 600, API 602, API 608, API 609 and API 6A. High-level summaries only; engineers should use the official project specifications.
Independent inspection — SGS, Bureau Veritas, TÜV or the project-appointed TPI — can be arranged at the manufacturing plant before shipment when the purchase order requires it. Material verification, witness of hydrostatic tests and review of the manufacturer’s dossier are scheduled against the agreed ITP, not as a default add-on on every quotation.
Valve supply into Saudi oil and gas work is shaped by SAES engineering standards (including SAES-L-108 and related documents), product SAMSS sheets, 9COM material codes, and — separately — by supplier registration and manufacturer approval lists. Those are distinct statuses. Being able to supply a valve to API 6D does not mean a company is listed as an Aramco vendor, and a manufacturer’s listing does not transfer to a distributor.
Iron Valves treats vendor registration, any future stockist qualification and any appointment against an approved manufacturer as a process we are preparing for — a goal. We do not claim Aramco, SABIC or similar end-user approvals, and we will not print those names as if they were ours. When a manufacturer we work with holds listings relevant to your inquiry, those listings are presented as the plant’s, with the plant’s documents. A fuller overview is in our note on Saudi Aramco valve specifications and vendor registration.
Practical answers for contractors, consultants, procurement teams and manufacturers working with Iron Valves on Saudi projects.
No. Iron Valves supplies valves from qualified manufacturers. Third-party listings (UL, FM, WRAS, NSF and similar) and any end-user approvals (including Aramco, SABIC or others) belong to the manufacturing plant or to a later vendor registration — not to Iron Valves as a company. Certificates are provided per manufacturer as specified in the purchase order.
We can arrange pipeline, process and wellhead valves to API 6D, API 600, API 602, API 608, API 609 and API 6A, production-tested to API 598 or API 6D, with fire-safe API 607 / 6FA and ISO 15848 low-emission packing where the manufacturer offers them. Fire-protection, AWWA waterworks and HVAC families are also available. Always use the official project specification — we summarise standards at a high level only.
Lead time depends on the manufacturer, size, class, materials and any special testing. We confirm a schedule against your datasheet when we quote. We do not claim local warehouse stock.
MOQ follows the manufacturer and the item. Single-piece orders are often possible for larger or higher-value valves; small forged or grooved items may carry a modest MOQ so that unit freight stays economical. Send an RFQ and we will quote practical quantities.
As specified in the RFQ and purchase order, typically a commercial invoice and packing list, certificate of origin, mill test certificates (EN 10204 3.1), dimensional datasheets, and the manufacturer’s applicable type-test or listing files. Hydrostatic, NDT and third-party inspection reports are arranged when the order calls for them. SABER / SASO files can be coordinated for a given shipment.
Yes. As a Saudi-based company we support clients in Arabic and English, from valve selection and specification review through to documentation. We can cross-reference a project datasheet to suitable figure numbers — always subject to manufacturer capability and end-user approval.
Please use the Become a Manufacturing Partner page. Tell us your product lines (for example API 6D, 600, 602, 608, 609 or 6A), plant location and the documentation you can support. We will review how a Kingdom distributorship could work. Nothing is signed, and no brand is published, until an agreement is in place.
